nsure that there is no leakage of helium and keep ventilation in the workplace. When the oxygen content is lower than 19.5% due to the increase of helium content, the patient will first have rapid breathing, inattention and ataxia; Then there are fatigue, weakness, irritability, nausea, vomiting, coma, convulsions, and death.

The packaged gas cylinders have a service life. All expired gas cylinders must be sent to the relevant department for safety inspection before they can continue to be used.

When using tail gas in each cylinder of helium, the residual pressure in the cylinder shall be kept at 0.5MPa, not less than 0.25MPa, and the cylinder valve shall be closed to ensure gas quality and use safety.

When transporting, storing and using the bottled helium, it should be stacked by classification. It should not be close to open fire and heat source. It should be kept away from fire, oil wax, explosion, re-throwing, and impact. It is forbidden to strike an arc or arc on the cylinder body. It is forbidden to load and unload the cylinder in a rough manner. The cylinder should be moved in a short distance with a special trolley. The cylinder should be transported in a long distance with a dangerous goods transport vehicle.

The temperature of liquid helium is - 268.9 ℃. Contact with skin can cause severe frostbite.

Safe use of helium gas cylinder

    (1) Packaging - ultrapure helium cylinder

Name: seamless steel gas cylinder (executive standard GB5099  ISO9809)

    (2) Storage - ultrapure helium cylinder

    1. The use and inspection of gas cylinders shall comply with the provisions of the Safety Supervision Regulation for Gas Cylinders issued by the National Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision.

    2. The gas cylinder shall not be close to the fire source and exposed to the sun. The distance from the gas cylinder to the open fire shall not be less than 10 meters, and the gas cylinder shall not be impacted.

    3. The bottle of gas cylinder shall not be contaminated with grease.

    4. The gas in the cylinder cannot be exhausted completely, and the residual pressure should not be less than 0.04MPa.

    5. The gas cylinder inflation pressure shall not exceed the specified pressure.

    6. The safety helmet shall be installed at any time to protect the air valve.

    7. The cylinder shall be inspected once every three years (except for special cases) for appearance inspection and water pressure test. The cylinder can only be used after passing the test. The inspection shall be carried out in the charging unit.

    Basic properties of helium

Helium is a colorless, odorless, non-toxic and non-flammable high-pressure gas stored in gas cylinders. The pressure is usually 15MPa, and the pressure reducer such as YQY-12 or 152IN-125 shall be used to reduce the pressure before use. Soap water shall be used to detect the leakage of the gas pipeline before use to ensure that the gas pipeline does not leak.

Ensure that there is no leakage of helium and keep ventilation in the workplace.
